Nestled amid the stunning Mourne Mountains, Time Out at Kinnahalla is a crisis intervention and prevention service, within a residential setting, for young people aged 10-17. Time Out staff engage the child, or young people, in a range of activities and interventions based on identified need.

They can help him/her to examine lifestyle issues, while the social worker intervenes with the carers, thus allowing the child or young person to return to their living arrangements, with the crisis being averted.

A particular success over the past year has been the development of a sensory room on-site, which has been hugely beneficial for many of the young people staying who present with autism or sensory needs.

It is hoped to roll this out further in the year ahead to integrate sensory provision throughout the building and surrounding grounds in order to make the youth village as welcoming and accessible as possible to all.

Time Out placements run Mon-Thurs & Thurs-Sun.

Bespoke placements can be facilitated were required.
